The tele-consult research study coordinator provides oversight and coordination of all elements of the Culturally-Based tele-consult Program at ARMC. Under minimal guidance and supervision from the UAB Project Manager and study hospitalist, responsibilities include screening and obtaining consent for the patient and their designated family/friend caregiver. He/she will oversee the day-to-day project activities to ensure adherence to study design, protocol, and maintain confidentiality. He/she will work closely with the patient/family, local team, and remote palliative care physician, arrange follow-up calls to patients for upcoming telehealth appointments at Day 3 and Day 6, document health information in the patients electronic medical record (EMR), and communicate with healthcare providers involved with discharge post-hospitalization (including community healtcare providers, family etc). Applicant must demonstrate service excellence at all times; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

::

Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program or have an associates/bachelor's degree in health related field
2 years of experience in research and/or health related field
Current SC nursing license (if RN)
Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and program management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
