Job Description

/Purpose:

Minimum Training and Education: Minimum qualifications include graduation from a program approved by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) or a successor accrediting authority, credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, and a minimum of one year of experience. Extensive knowledge of polysomnography principles, practices and clinical applications; ability to act quickly and competently in emergency situations. PSGT III requirements must be completed and maintained in order to remain in the PSG III classification.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider required.

(Infrequent) Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force. (Frequent) Examples include: To transfer a 100 lb. patient that can not assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. Under general supervision, the Childrens-Womens Quality RN- Program Manager provides full support to the QAPI programs for both Childrens and Womens ICCE. This includes collecting relevant quality data, analyzing and assessing data, working with relevant stakeholders on disseminating data and information, benchmarking performance, and leading multidisciplinary teams to improve performance based on goals. This position presents performance to relevant oversight and governance groups. This role leads all QAPI and regulatory / accreditation activities, up to and including the pediatric burn program, pediatric surgical verification program, and pediatric trauma program. The RN Program Manager also leads all efforts in public rankings for the ICCE, up to and including US News and World Report, PHIS, CMS, and Vizient. The Program Manager reports to the Director of QAPI programs, in Quality Department. The Program Manager is responsible for the daily operation in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change. The Program Manager is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of of the Childrens and Womens QAPI program.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include graduation from a program approved by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) or a successor accrediting authority, credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, and a minimum of one year of experience. Extensive knowledge of polysomnography principles, practices and clinical applications; ability to act quickly and competently in emergency situations. PSGT III requirements must be completed and maintained in order to remain in the PSG III classification.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider required.
