The Perianesthesia Clinical Coordinator is a registered nurse who is accountability to assign, coordinate, direct, monitor, and evaluate direct nursing care for the surgical services unit. The Perianesthesia Clinical Coordinator is directly responsible for reinforcing standards set forth by JCAHO, DHEC, Nursing Practice Standards, Nursing Policies and Procedures, AORN, ASPAN and the quality of care provided assuring a high level of customer satisfaction and physician interaction. The Perianesthesia Clinical Coordinator must serve as a role model in being a patient care advocate. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for daily communication, feedback, coaching, and problem solving unit issues. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for continuous personal growth and development as well as encouraging and/or providing opportunities for staff to gain skills.
Minimum Education: BSN or associated BS degree or currently enrolled in BSN classes completion within a year
Minimum Work Experience: Pre-Op, PACU, OPS experience preferred.
Required License: Must have South Carolina or Multi-State Compact Licensure.
Certifications: CPAN, CAPA, or CNOR preferred.
