Aiken Regional Medical Centers

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Aiken Regional Medical Centers has been ranked a top hospital in South Carolina by the Carolina Center for Medical Excellence for its treatment of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia. Services provided at the hospital include emergency medical care, orthopedic surgeries, maternity, and behavioral health services.

Sr. Maintenance Technician

Performs a variety of routing to skilled general preventative maintenance duties to include repairing, altering and modifying building, equipment and systems. This position oversees the utilities sub-committee, assists department management with implementing and maintaining project timelines, and oversees daily construction projects.

Essential Job Duties:
Maintain routine records and determines type and extent of malfunctions of equipment and, as necessary, adjust, disassemble, repair or replace parts or components then reassembles and tests for proper operation.
Maintains gas fire steam boilers and makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper steam pressure, combustion, water flow, water level and proper operation of safety devices.
Maintain inventory on your van for all APA Buildings
Assists with the preventative maintenance on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Performs general mechanical maintenance to kitchen equipment, etc. to include complete all maintenance records of equipment.
Maintains, repairs and makes alterations to sanitary plumbing pipes and fixtures.
Bends, cuts, repairs and threads all pipe needed to repair or alter any piping system
Repairs and/or replaces all valves and clears all stoppages.
Assists with welding, cutting and joining of metals.
Maintains all gases to facility such as oxygen, nitrogen and vacuum systems needed for daily operation of the hospital.
Assists with performing preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment.
Oversees routine construction projects.
Completes ICRAs (Infection Control Risk Assessments) for construction sites.
Completes daily rounds for al APA Buildings
Plans and implements shutdowns for all assigned projects.
Maintains ILSM (Interim Life Safety Measures) during construction projects.
Maintain all APA buildings, which include paint, sheet rock repair

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Knowledge of general mechanics, electrical and plumbing codes.
