The Data Engineer I will be working on a team responsible for delivering data assets using the latest Microsoft technologies. Our Data Engineering team works closely with business partners to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. This role focuses on building MUSC's enterprise data warehouse assets that provide meaningful data to end users. On premises solutions are delivered using the Microsoft suite of tools: SSMS, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS and Cloud solutions are delivered using Microsoft Azure Data Factory, SQL Data Warehouse and Azure Analysis Services. Proactively work as part of a team using agile development methodologies; Coding, testing, creating documentation and continuously improving our processes.
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.) or related field required. Prefer 1 year of experience with database development. Previous experience with information systems, data architecture, data warehousing, software development or other related consulting expertise is preferred. Ability to develop data warehousing solutions including ETL, Dimensional Modeling, Analysis Services / OLAP and other techniques. Understanding of database architecture and development. Ability to learn and execute using various programming languages and tools. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
