Job Description

Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager, Hospice, is a registered nurse who has 24-hour accountability and responsibility for the operation of Hospice Services. These responsibilities include providing excellence and quality in patient care delivery, fiscal responsibility, management and leadership of staff, collaboration with medical staff, as well as maintaining working relationships with other hospital leadership, and positive interaction with families, visitors, community resources and vendors. The Nurse Manager is accountable for continuous personal growth and development as well as encouraging and providing opportunities for staff to gain expertise. The Nurse Manager must possess excellent interpersonal skills, problem identification and resolution abilities. The Nurse Manager is responsible for meeting the standards set forth by The Joint Commission (TJC), DHEC, and all pertinent regulatory agencies, and the Standards of Nursing Care and Practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Degree/Diploma Program of Study

Associates Degree Nursing

BSN Preferred

Minimum Work Experience:

Years of Experience

At least 2 years of Home Health experience required. Charge nurse experience and/or progressive nursing management experience preferred.

Required License:

RN

Must have South Carolina or Multi-State Compact Licensure.

SC DMV Driver's License

Must have good driving record.

Certifications:

BLS-Mandatory
