Under the direction of Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionized radiation prescribed by physicians for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for directing and controlling qualitative and quantitative standards of work performed in the Imaging Services Department.
Requires an associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to perform all routine radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations with proficiency.
Must be able to make decisions clearly and quickly.
Must be able to assist in training new employees.
Must be able to work as a team member - have cooperative relationships with associates, patients, physicians, or outsiders that involves limited
