Job Description

The Imaging Specialist is responsible for prepping, scanning, indexing assigned records while meeting quality and quantity standards as well as time constraints.

Prep assigned records in preparation for scanning.
Scan and Index records accurately and timely on a daily basis according to set quality and quantity standards.
Performs computer quality control for all documents.
Maintains a good working relationship within the department and other departments.
Performs analysis for physician deficiencies to include required dictation and signatures.
Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information.
Operates computer programs as instructed.
Meets quality and quantity standards for imaging.
Answers telephone and complies with telephone,fax and walk-in requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Must be a high school graduate with courses that include computer entry and office procedures.

Knowledge in medical terminology and general office procedures. Previous medical office or hospital registration experience helpful.
