In response to a physician's referral, provides therapy services according to the appropriate governing agency for South Carolina, and within the scope of his/her training, knowledge, and experience. This may include, but is not limited to, evaluation and treatment of all areas that are discipline appropriate using accepted standards of care and established protocols. Will provide direct patient care to individuals of all ages (infant to geriatric), as their expertise and caseload demands. Will coordinate and provide patient and family education, determine the need for additional, appropriate referrals, and execute effective therapy services, as appropriate. Participates in educational programs and performs non-patient care responsibilities as assigned. Participates in program development and in the QA program. Pursues continuing education and ensures staff competencies. Assists in the marketing of the clinic and promotes services with physicians and agencies as needed. Ensures departmental compliance with JCAHO, DHEC and other regulatory agencies. Oversees daily operations of the clinic and supervises staff assigned to the clinic. Assists in financial management of the clinic.
Qualifications: Current South Carolina licensure. One or more years of clinical experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. Certification in CPR in basic life support. Must be able to transfer an average adult patient at a weight of 150 pounds.
