The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in compliance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice defined by ANA, JCAHO, and organization protocols, policies, procedures and guidelines. Develops, implements, evaluates and revises plan of care based on physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of the patients and family. Collaborates with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care. Maintains clinical knowledge and skills competencies to facilitate patient care in accordance with current standards of practice. Provides for a safe patient care environment.
1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
2. Minimum 2 years of critical care.
3. RN licensure required.
4. Achieves and maintains BLS and ACLS certifications.
5. Successful completion of Connect Care Module IP110 (Essentials), RX210 (EMAR), IP300 (General Nursing) with a minimum
score of 84%.
An essential function of this position is to comply with BSHSI Policy (SYS.HR.NUR.001) which requires, as a condition of employment, that all registered nurses with diplomas or associate degrees who apply and are hired after May 1, 2015 complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five years of start date.
