Job Description

The Revenue Integrity Manager reports to the Director, Hospital Patient Accounting & Revenue Systems. Under limited supervision, the Revenue Integrity Manager is responsible for management of Revenue Integrity for MUSC Hospital including charge master oversight and maintenance as well as pricing and change process. This role demonstrates an understanding and communicating complex changes regarding regulatory compliance and reimbursement. This position focuses on the maximization of collections through the accurate and complete capture of all charges as well as the implementation and maintenance of charge capture processes. This role works closely with clinical departments to align processes with government, payer, and internal charge capture policies; provides education to the clinical departments. The Revenue Integrity Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of Revenue Integrity and charge capture projects including developing work teams, delegating tasks, workflow and training and development of staff. This position analyzes and generates reports to monitor activity and recommend opportunities to increase revenue and reimbursement for the MUSC Medical Center.


Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Healthcare, Finance or other applicable field and a minimum of five years of revenue cycle experience; preferably in a major academic healthcare organization, required. At least two years of direct management experience required. Working knowledge of financial statements and ability to analyze financial information and determine financial impact of possible changes. Knowledge of governmental and third party payer regulations and comprehensive knowledge of billing and reimbursement processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and listening skills essential. Excellent presentation skills and facilitation skills.
