Job Description

The Facilities Operational Planning Specialist reports to the Administrator, MUSC Health Environmental Safety. The Facilities Operational Planning Specialist drives and supports multiple operational committees to develop and implement transition into the Pediatric MOB/ASC, SJCH, and new design and construction projects for MUSC Health. Working in a cross-functional environment, the Specialist is primarily responsible for detailed project management, research, strategic planning, performance analysis, and reporting. This role is responsible for communicating project updates to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Master's degree (MHA, MHSA, MBA, MPH, MSN, or related field) required. One year of project management experience required. Previous design planning experience preferred. Strong interpersonal; client relations; fact finding; analytical; project management; presentation; and communication skills (written and verbal) required. Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with groups or teams. Demonstrated ability to confront and creatively manage conflict. Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization. Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint. Must have proven organizational skills with the ability to plan time effectively, balance multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Upon employment, successful completion of CAD, Revit, and/or other related design or project management training programs as requested. Under minimal supervision, respond to project demands within deadlines.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to go up and down stairs, walk/sand for extended periods of time, use office equipment, be able to lift 25-30 lbs., and work in deadline drive, stressful environment.
