This job consists of setting up and maintaining oxygen and aerosol therapy. The Pulmonary Aide also changes out oxygen supplies according to a schedule and delivers tanks and supplies wherever needed. May also perform duties for which they have received training in a Respiratory education program. Other duties as assigned.
PRN - as needed (no benefits).
Respiratory Therapy - Services may include, though are not limited to, arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests including plethysmography, mechanical ventilation, airway care, neonatal regional transport, attendance at high risk deliveries, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medical delivery, bronchia hygiene, and patient and family education. Respiratory Care Services are performed in the department, at the patient's bedside, or any other area within the medical center.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care program. BLS certification.
Prefer experience in a related field.
